Clicking does not lead to any solutions though. Under Sign-in Options / Windows Hello Fingerprint it says "This option is currently unavailable - click to learn more". We have professionally refurbished the laptop and installed Windows 10.

I have specifically downloaded and run every version of the fingerprint scanner from HP's site that have links posted in the answers in the forums I found on this topic. 22-08-2018 LENOVO R60 BIOMETRIC COPROCESSOR DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 7 - Tergiversate. I have updated Windows 10 and updated all drivers from the HP website. I can find lots of people asking similar questions on various forums but without adequate answers.
I can't find it listed in Device Manager. The laptop seems to have a fingerprint scanner below the keyboard, to the right of trackpad.

I believe this model was originally sold with Windows 8 or 8.1 but it had a fresh install of Windows 10 on it when I bought it.
I'm either still missing something, or there's a bug.I recently bought a refurbished HP ProBook 430 G2 in Japan. And all policies under "Windows Hello for Business" and "Biometrics" are "Not configured" If i look at the GP on the computer, "Turn on convenience PIN sign-in" policy is "Not configured". However, if I log in as another user, even with Admin priv on that computer, Fingerprint and PIN options are grayed out. and many more programs are available for instant and free download. The fingerprint authentication for that user still works, as documentation would suggest it should, and I can add and remove fingerprints and change and remove PIN when logged in as that user. We mostly run Win 7 Pro in our org of about 60 computers, but we now have two new different models of computer (Thinkpad T460s and HP ZBook Studio) that are running Win 10 Pro Anniversary Update (all recent updates installed) and part of our domain (Server 2008 DC).
